This 2 day course explains the enhanced approach to Process FMEA (PFMEA) which has been jointly developed by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).  It is also designed to support the requirements of IATF 16949.

Course Objectives:

The key objective is to enable participants to understand and apply the enhanced PFMEA methodology within their organisation.  The aim is that by the end of the course, a participant will understand:

  • The reasons for the introduction of the AIAG-VDA FMEA methodology
  • The new 7 step approach to PFMEA
  • How to develop and interpret a PFMEA in accordance with the enhanced methodology

Target Audience:

Project and engineering managers, process owners, project engineers, quality engineers and sales engineers,  quality auditors and other personnel who are involved with the introduction of new products and contribute to PFMEA activities.  Also, those personnel who need to understand the principles and terminology in order to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
